I have been bitten by the colorwork sock bug!! And I love this pattern by Summer Lee.
The colorwork section on the leg utilizes a special Contrast Color Skein, which includes six colors.
All you do is cut yarn as the colors change in the Contrast Skein and use the colors as indicated in the pattern.
The fun part about Summer’s pattern is that besides the grey (CC1), all of the other contrast colors use about the same amount of yarn. So you can assign the other 5 colors to any CC in the chart.
Just don’t use the same color twice and you will have plenty of yarn for both of your socks!
The Self-Striping skein is the MC (Main Color), used to finish the leg and foot.
I decided to go with a gorgeous autumnal palette while we are still in the season here in the northern hemisphere. I thought they would make lovely Thanksgiving socks!

When you purchase the Mazie Socks, you automatically receive both the orginal pattern as well as a Mods page which shows another variation of the socks using the same colorwork charts as the original.
Please note, the yardage included in the kit will only work with the orignal pattern! You would need two kits to knit the Mods version. (Ask me how I know.)

50 gr Autumn's Glory self striping yarn Signature BFL fingering - 3 ply 85% sw BFL 15% Nylon
30 gr Contrast Color Skeins Signature BFL fingering - 3 ply 85% sw BFL 15% Nylon.
Total 80 gr per kit.
This is enough yarn for two socks up to a size women's US10.
