I was smitten with a pair of socks that Laura (insta: goslingandplumb) made using my I Read Banned Books colorway. She added other yarns for the colorwork section on the leg and used the self-striping for the remainder of the leg and foot. I had to recreate the look!!
The kit includes two special Contrast Color skeins and a 60 gr skein of striping yarn. Each Contrast Color skein has enough yarn to work one sock. Two minis = two socks.
By implementing my striping knowledge, I was able to get all the Contrast Color yarn you need in just the right amounts. Very Little Waste.
All you do is cut yarn as the colors change in the Contrast Skein and use the colors as indicated in the pattern. Green for the leaf, brown for the stem and seeds, etc. I gave you extra Dark Magenta to use for the apple and for working the heel or toe, if you wish. You will work the cuff with self-striping yarn.
I worked the largest size of the pattern and as you can see, you have plenty of contrast yarn for the colorwork!!
This kit includes yarn only. You can get a copy of Charlotte Stone's pattern here!
