Join us for a mystery Gnome-along!!

Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes is known world-wide for her GNOME patterns, especially her Gnome Mystery Knit-alongs! Her patterns are delightful and whimsical, and Sarah is really great about guiding knitters of every level through the pattern instructions.

The two of us have been collaborating on her Spring 2024 Mystery Pattern, Gnome News is Good News, which features self-striping yarn for the first time. It's pretty exciting...and I have created kits.

The "kit" is a special 40 gr skein on our fingering sw Targhee base that includes all the yarn you need to complete the pattern. No additional yarn is needed! It really is a One Skein Wonder!

I designed a sort of "Spring Bulb Mix" variety of colorways to choose from. Pick your favorite spring flower, or several for a lovely bouquet!

The swatches in the photos are meant to give you a general feel of the colors that will be found in each kit, however it is a mystery -along so I have kept a couple colors under wraps.

Here are some dates to keep in mind!

  • Get your Pattern on Ravelry Now!
  • Use the code “GoodNews25” until April 18 for 25% off the pattern!
  • The First Clue of the pattern will be available April 18, and the knit along runs through mid-June.

Happy Gnome-ing!! Be sure to share your gnomes using #gnomeMKAL14

Kit details

Base: sw Targhee Fingering, 90% sw Targhee/10% Nylon

40 gr / 164 yards

The skein has several distinct sections that will be used for different parts of the gnome. The sections are easily identifiable and clear instructions will be given in the pattern and in a video for how to prepare the yarn for knitting.

Here is a video Sarah made for winding up the yarn and separating the sections.

Please note, this is a yarn-only kit. You will need to buy the pattern directly from Sarah and she will outline the additional supplies you need such as stuffing, recommended needles, etc.
